Nikon 120mm Big Eye Binoculars

These magnificent Nikon 20 × 120 binoculars, dating from circa 1970, are an exceptional example of Japanese precision optical engineering.

With 20 times magnification and substantial 120 mm objective lenses, they provide superb long-distance viewing with an impressive 3° field of view. A subject 20 km away will appear approximately as it would to the naked eye from just 1 km away.

The binoculars have been professionally refurbished and highly polished to a mirror finish, with contrasting polished brass detailing. Optically, they are in exceptional condition, producing a beautifully clear, bright and pin-sharp image.

Importantly, the binoculars retain their original Nikon gimbal mounting, allowing smooth and precise horizontal and vertical movement. The gimbal is mounted onto a bespoke, exceptionally substantial heavy-duty tripod, which is fully adjustable and provides an extremely stable platform for both viewing and display.
