A highly polished Piston from a WWII Jacobs R-755, fitted with 4 Nixie tubes to clearly show the time, 24 or 12 hours with many options such as seconds , night dim, colour display options, brightness etc. A beautiful unique clock.
The Nixie tube, or cold cathode display is an electronic device for displaying numbers using glow discharge.
